About Us
Scorpion Oceanics has been operating from the same location,
albeit different buildings, since we commenced trading in January
1996. The company now has almost 20,000 square feet of
manufacturing and office space. Our production area is divided
into various speciality workshops for Polyethylene moulding,
Polyurethane moulding, cable handling, electrical assembly,
testing and stores.
In 2006 the company turnover was approx. £2.5M ($5.0M). In mid
2007 total number of employees stands at 20 and the business
continues to grow at a rate of approx. 20% per annum. Two of the
three original founding Directors are still employed on a daily
basis. Scorpion Oceanics keeps ahead of developments and plans are
in hand to introduce new products and techniques to meet the
demands of a fast moving, technology led industry.
Since our formation in 1996, Scorpion Oceanics Limited has emerged
as the market leader in the design and manufacture of underwater
cable systems, together with the supply of connectors, high
modulus fibre ropes, mouldings, hydrophones, terminations and
accessories for use in harsh environments.
We have achieved this excellent position through a combination of
service, innovation, and hard work. Listening to our customers and
translating their needs back into our products has enabled us to
give them the level of support they expect, which is why so many
of our customers continue to purchase from us year on year.
All design and manufacturing is carried out at the company’s
facility in North West Essex, adjacent to the M11 Motorway,
between Cambridge and London Stansted Airport.
We are
located approx. 40 miles northeast of London in a beautiful rural
setting. We are able to support our UK and international customer
network via excellent local communications and infrastructure. |
