With the ever increasing demand for energy, the Seismic Industry –
sometimes known as Exploration Geophysics – is continually looking

leading edge cable systems including airgun terminations (cans)
onto umbilicals operated by exploration companies.
Working closely with marine seismic operators, research bodies and
umbilical manufacturers, Scorpion Oceanics has developed a huge
range of products to satisfy this market. The umbilical
termination work can be carried out in-house, on-site or
off-shore. This company employs a number of engineers with a
wealth of experience in the seismic industry.
We also supply cables and connectors for tail-buoy antennae,
cetacean monitoring, deck leads, paravane tow ropes and recently
supplied a number of unique cable systems for electro-magnetic
survey. To complement our services we offer a range of accessories
including cable grips, Polyurethane twin-packs and bend
restrictors etc.
