Souriau Connectors

Scorpion Oceanics is the world’s largest stockist of Souriau Underwater Electrical Connectors. The company is an assembling distributor of 8810 and ‘M’ series connectors, which it supplies globally.

The 8810 series is world-renowned as one of the first wet-mateable metal-shelled underwater electrical connectors. The range is designed to be wet or underwater mated and can be used at depths to 3000 metres seawater.

Scorpion Oceanics manufacture an exclusive yet complimentary range of connectors within the  8810 series which includes reverse gender contact arrangements and connectors incorporating special body styles.

Together with its companion range, the ‘M’ series (formerly known as Jupiter ‘M’ series) they have proven track records in numerous harsh environments. Souriau produce the most popular underwater electrical connector ranges in Europe and they are in service with many navies and national security services. Souriau 8810 and ‘M’ series underwater electrical connectors have been qualified for use on Astute Class Submarines and meet BAE Systems ‘Shock Testing Requirements’.
